6 months!
19 pounds, 6.5 ounces.... 27.5 inches long! Still following the 80%tile cure perfectly! WAY advanced! Isaac has surpassed all milestones through 9months already!

June has been a great month with Isaac! We started the month by taking a trip to Stewartville for cousin Michael's high school graduation. It was really great to see the whole family again! Isaac especially enjoyed the ice cream that Aunt Cheryl had at the party! Eating continues to be Isaac's life-specialty... as you can see by the pictures, sometimes the process is slightly more messy than other times! Isaac eats pretty much anything that we give him- mommy and daddy just need to be smart- there are some very tempting things!!! Pickles are still our favorite! Recently, mr Isaac even reached over and took one off of daddy's plate without daddy even knowing it! We also went to the Sieben's house for an evening where Isaac really enjoyed playing with aunt daisy and uncle joe joe and also enjoyed sitting on grandma shannon's lap on the deck! We have learned that Isaac's favorite place is outside which made last weekend really great! Mommy and grandma julie ran grandma's half marathon in duluth and after the run we all went hiking at Gooseberry Falls. Isaac was the best cheerleader during the run and was, of course, the hit of all the other spectators because he is so cute and charming (oh, and of course, the hair!) Mommy finished the 13.1 miles in 1:59.56 and grandma finished (ran the whole way- we are super proud of grandma) in 2:30!!! Hiking at the falls was great and Isaac even touched the waterfall and put his little toes in the burr-cold water! As you can see by one of the pics, the fresh air knocked him right out!
Other important thigs we have accomplished recently... we roll and roll and roll and now have started to navigate the living room by scooting and trying to crawl! We also sit very well! Almost can sit all the way up from laying down even! We still love to chew on EVERYTHING and we sometimes get upset when we aren't allowed to chew on unsafe things (like the blow-dryer power cord)! Sleeping is hit or miss, sometimes Isaac still wakes several times in the night for his paci and sometimes he sleeps right through the night! Ripley continues to be Isaac's very friend!
Mommy and daddy will finally be 2nd years starting on monday!!!! 1 year down and only 2 to go! very exciting!!! (well, offically mommy is behind, but we won't dwell on that until daddy is done and mommy is not!) Next weekend for the 4th of July, we are all going to Red Wing to the boat to hang out with grandma and grandpa nancy and ron! It will be very exciting to see how Isaac does out on the boat! Mommy and daddy are even going to run a 5K race while grandpa runs a 10K! The weekend after that, mommy, daddy and grandma julie are doing the triathlon again up by St. Cloud!
Hope all is well with everyone else, we love you all!
PS the next post of just pictures of Uncle Grant are from our trip to Duluth. Grant took an ice cream and pie challenge... 3 pieces of pie, 4 scoops of ice cream, bananas and whip cream... 30 min... needless to say, he got rather sick and didn't quite make it, but the picture progression is pretty great to look at!

roll over roll over
So, Isaac is now almost 5.5 months old! I cannot even believe where the time has gone... very bitter sweet! (Ps the pics go through 5 months only)...
Right now, we are rolling and rolling and rolling. He has been rolling over for quite some time now, but now is very good at it! In the middle of the night when he wakes up without his paci (end of the world by the way) he is most often on his belly, frequently with his legs sticking out the bars of the crib). He never wakes up anywhere near where he was laid down in bed. Along with the rolling, mr Isaac man is a great scooter! He will get himself on his kness, but hasn't quite mastered crawling, so will propel himself forward from his knees, in essence, he jumps forward. He is very mobile! It's actually very comical, and yes, he gets very frustrated with it- especially because he is the one who pushes his toys futher and further away as he reaches for them when they are just at his fingertips, and when he touches them, they go father away!
He is talking up a storm and has several different and all very sweet giggles. One is almost a cackling though! He continues to be most entertained by Ripley! He is also very ticklish!
Isaac is also a fabulous eater! He loves his sweet potatoes, applesauce and even prunes (basically, we have experienced all step 1 gerber baby foods, nothing he doesn't like!)... but honestly, my little tazmanian baby prefers french fries, pickles and ice cream ! (yes yes yes, bad parents bad doctors) He has also had mashed potatoes, watermelon, pineapple and waffles, but don't get me wrong, pickles and French fries are his favorites.
Ripley is on a diet! Aparently he is chubby! I dont' quite see it, but we will listen. He also loves baby food! He just got a new collar and is sporting blue now, no more Marley :(
As for christopher and I... 2 more weeks until first year is over!!!!!!!!!!!! thank goodness! We have gotten our call schedules for the next 3 months and it is AMAZING! we are on call as many times in the next 3 months as we averaged for 1 month as first years! Christopher is on our team rotation (in patient medicine= worst rotation we have) so life is pretty cruddy right now for him. Heather is on the easiest rotation we have so is running a lot getting ready for the half marathon she runs on the 19th! Still working on losing those last few pregnancy pounds!
See you soon!
